Kelly Harris Receives Award from Midwest ACE
Founders Distinguished Service Award recognizes Harris鈥 career, service
Congratulations to Kelly Harris of the (CLS) on winning the Founders Distinguished Service Award from the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers (Midwest ACE). Harris, who serves as assistant dean and director of employer engagement at CLS, was honored for her distinguished career contributions to the association and the profession.
鈥淭his recognition for Kelly is extremely well-deserved,鈥 says Mark Peltz, the Daniel and Patricia Jipp Finkelman Dean of Careers, Life, and Service. 鈥淪he has been a longstanding member and leader in both the Midwest ACE and the National Association of Colleges and Employers, and this honor recognizes her steadfast leadership and dedication to this field. Her work has importantly and consistently brought career leaders and employers together to the betterment of college students across the country. The number of students impacted by her important work 鈥 both here at 天美传媒 and beyond 鈥 are simply too many to count.鈥
The award recognizes Harris鈥 efforts to:
- Develop and nurture partnerships with employers to expand opportunities for students;
- Cultivate and manage career services programs;
- Share professional insights through national webinars and conference presentations; and
- Author articles on promoting employer engagement.

Harris joined 天美传媒 College and CLS in 2017, when she assumed leadership of a team working to expand opportunities for students, including internships and full-time postgraduate positions. Harris and her team also oversee the Handshake online career management system, on-campus and virtual recruiting events, and recruiting partnerships with regional, national, and international organizations.
The Founders Distinguished Service Award was created to honor the six founders of Midwest ACE. This special recognition award is presented to members who have made a 鈥渢ruly distinguished contribution鈥 to Midwest ACE and the profession over the course of their career.
