Kelly Harris of the Center for Careers, Life, and Service (CLS) has received the Founders Distinguished Service Award from the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers (Midwest ACE).
First opened in 1918, the historic residence has long welcomed generations of alumni. Every year on November 8, we express our gratitude for the accomplishments of all first-generation ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ians – faculty, staff, students, and alumni – by observing First-Generation College Celebration Day. This day commemorates the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965, which increased access, retention, and completion rates for first-generation and low-income (FGLI) students.

Aguibou Bougobali SANOU, assistant professor in ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ College’s Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies, has been selected as one of 25 Dance/USA Artist Fellows for 2025. The national fellowship program honors dance and movement-based artists whose work demonstrates a sustained commitment to social change. Each fellowship includes an unrestricted $31,000 grant to support the artist’s ongoing creative practice.

Enjoy a Traditional Thanksgiving Meal on Campus on Nov. 27
Students, faculty, staff, families, and community members are welcome to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal hosted by Dining Services between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., on Thurs., Nov. 27, in the Marketplace Dining Hall. Individuals with meal plans can use those for entry. Others can purchase tickets in advance or at the door; cost is $25 (adults) and $10 (youth under 12 years of age). Children 5 years of age and under can eat free. Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted.
