Campus Programs and Initiatives

Heritage and Identity Month Celebrations

Throughout the academic year, CTEB coordinates and collaborates on campus-wide heritage and identity month programming that recognizes the histories, cultures, and contributions of historically marginalized communities. These celebrations create opportunities for education, reflection, celebration, and community engagement.

Signature programming includes:

  • Latinx Heritage Month
  • Transgender Awareness Week/Transgender Day of Remembrance Programming
  • Disability Awareness Month
  • Black History Month
  • Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month
  • Juneteenth Celebration

Programs may include keynote speakers, panel discussions, educational workshops, cultural performances, community celebrations, exhibits, film screenings, and collaborative events with campus and community partners.

The Anti-Series

The Anti-Series is CTEB's educational speaker series dedicated to exploring systems of oppression and contemporary issues affecting historically marginalized communities.

Each program focuses on a specific topic, such as anti-racism, anti-ableism, antisemitism, anti-LGBTQIA discrimination, religious discrimination, or other forms of bias and exclusion. Through expert speakers and facilitated dialogue, the series encourages participants to deepen their understanding, challenge assumptions, and strengthen their capacity to contribute to a more inclusive campus community.
